Corinne (Woolley) Richards is a board certified music therapist practicing in El Paso, TX. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Slippery Rock University in 2010. After completing a six month internship in Tallahassee, Florida, Corinne passed the board certification exam in December 2010.
In 2011, Corinne began her Master of Arts degree at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. During that time she had the opportunity to study advanced music therapy techniques such as improvisation, imagery, and music psychotherapy. Her thesis was a narrative inquiry on the experiences of military spouses in music therapy. Corinne completed the program in December 2013. Corinne began her business in 2011 in the Northern Virginia/ Washington, DC region. A cross country move sparked her desire to grow her own business.
Corinne has completed the Music and Imagery training from The Association for Music and Imagery, Advanced Counseling Techniques from the Center for Music Therapy and the End of Life, and The Sounding Birthing Method of Music Therapy and Birth Music Consultations from Sound Birthing Music. Corinne has presented on her work and research both locally and nationally during her career as a music therapist. She is a member of the American Music Therapy Association and Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Outside of her work as a music therapist, Corinne enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, running, yoga, and biking. She also volunteers with her sorority as the financial advisor.
Michael Capo, MT-BC
Neurological Music Therapist
Michael Capo is a board-certified music therapist practicing in El Paso, TX. Michael studied violin at Slippery Rock University and received his Bachelor’s of Music Therapy in July 2016. Michael completed his internship at Heritage Hospice, LLC in New Kensington, PA and passed the board certification exam in September 2016.
In January 2017, Michael made the cross-county move to join the Richards Music Therapy Team. Michael is also a member of the American Music Therapy Association; one of his favorite things to do with clients in sessions is instrumental improvisation and songwriting, be it with guitar, violin, piano, harmonica, bass, or anything that can make a sound. “Thank you for this opportunity; I look forward to making music with everyone here in the Sun City!”
Lindsey Bowden MT-BC
Lindsey Bowden is a certified music therapist practicing in El Paso,TX. She received her Bachelor's of Musical Arts from Bowling Green State University in 2014. Then in fall of 2014, Lindsey began her equivalency degree in Music Therapy at Eastern Michigan University. After completing the coursework for the degree, Lindsey began her internship at Arbor Hospice and passed the board certification exam in May 2017.
Shortly after, Lindsey accepted the position with Richards Music Therapy Services. She began her journey in June, and is very excited about her personal and professional growth that will be made here in El Paso. Lindsey is thankful for this opportunity, and she is excited to see what is in store for her future with Richards Music Therapy Services!
Brooke Witherite, MT-BC
Brooke is a former intern at Richards Music Therapy Services, and transitioning to full time employee. She graduated in May 2017 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where she studied music therapy with a concentration in piano. Brooke loves making all kinds of music with a variety of instruments. She is excited to work with the wonderful people of El Paso!
